4.6 - FAQ

The questions every Ghanaian host actually asks.

What happens when the power goes out?

The charger has its own solar panels and a LiFePO4 battery bank, so it keeps charging through dumsor. If the outage lasts longer than the battery, the charger pauses the active session cleanly and refunds any unused pre-authorisation. No half-charged cars.

Will my own employees be charged when they use the station?

That's negotiable. Some hosts give staff a free or discounted rate. We'll set this up at install.

Who handles insurance?

The hardware is insured by us. Your existing public-liability coverage handles the rest.

What if I want to end the agreement?

The hosting agreement has a clean exit clause - typically 90 days' notice on either side, with us removing the equipment at our cost. We'll go over the specifics in writing before you sign anything.

Will EV drivers actually show up?

Ghana has thousands of EVs and only a handful of public chargers - all in Accra. Your site won't lack demand if you're on a corridor. We'll share what we know about EV driver routing during the site visit.

Do I need to be a Pitvolt customer for anything?

No. We make money when drivers charge; you don't pay us anything to host.
